Thanks for being interested in Big Swing Tennis—today’s stars teaching tomorrow’s stars!

We are a non-profit, all-volunteer organization in Tucson, Arizona that pairs talented high school players with young children ages 6 to 10 years who are eager to play more tennis than their group lessons permit.

Hour-long sessions on the weekend give the young player the hitting practice that is necessary for improvement. Equally important, the high school volunteers offer encouragement and share their excitement for the game. For players who need equipment, there are re-used racquets available.

How we make it work — Top junior players volunteer their time and collect gently used racquets. Local sponsors underwrite the cost of balls, t-shirts, fliers, and water. The Reffkin Tennis Center contributes the court time and coaching advice. There is no cost to the young player. New players are accepted at any time during the school year when space is available.
